The EVAW Program is a multidisciplinary training and technical assistance program consisting of professionals in the fields of Prosecution, Law Enforcement, Victim Advocacy and Medical Services. Funded through the Colorado Crime Victim Sevices Fund, this nationally recognized program has been serving Colorado Communities since 1996. The program also provides technical assistance to prosecutors, law enforcement officers, victim advocates, coordinated community councils and other multi-disciplinary response teams across the state.
Collaboration is the cornerstone of success for the EVAW Program. The joint effort by the Colorado District Attorneys' Council, the County Sheriffs of Colorado, the Colorado Coalition Against Sexual Assault and Violence Free Colorado has infused the project with expertise, and modeled the importance of developing a coordinated response to violence against women.
